Smartphone technology is pretty ridiculous right now – with huge displays and powerful cameras powered by super-charged processors that you’d find in most top-end laptops.
We basically have the very best laptops sat right in our pocket, but one handset company is pushing the quality even further with an extra special display.
OnePlus, a phone company that hasn’t really rocked the market so far, has just released the 7T, which might just be one of the best handsets we’ve seen.
With a silky-smooth 90Hz display, your content will look gorgeous, your pictures and videos will pop, and games will run as good as a console – all in the palm of your hand.
The display itself is a huge 6.55-inch AMOLED screen that covers the entire front of the phone. It delivers 2400 x 1080 pixels in HDR10+, but the most important thing is that it’s 90Hz.
This means that whenever something moves on the screen – whether that’s a TV show, a video game, or you just scrolling through your social feed – the display will look incredibly smooth and you lose that slight stutter on displays when you scroll quickly.
Netflix, YouTube and most games will look incredible on this phone, and it will be hard to go back to phones that don’t have 90Hz displays once you’ve used it.
The OnePlus 7T is only available for pre-order right now dropping into a shop near you by October 17.
There will be plenty of networks who’ll be offering good deals – we will cover those once they go live – but the best place to pick one up if you want to buy it outright is from OnePlus itself.
You can get the standard version of the new phone (with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage) for £549. There are two colour options: Glacier Blue and Frosted Silver.
If you buy online, you’ll get free shipping and a 15-day grace period to return the phone for free if you’re not happy with it.
If you’re into your racing, you might also be interested in the OnePlus 7T McLaren edition.
Once again, OnePlus has partnered with the super-car manufacturer to deliver a special collectors edition of the handset.
It is made from carbon fiber and Italian-made Alcantara, which is the same premium fabric that makes up the interior of some of McLaren’s most expensive sports cars.
It also has unique lighting features, too, glowing orange and illuminating differently when you get notifications.
The McLaren version is not available to get until November 5 but you can find it on the official OnePlus website and get notified when you can purchase straight away.
It will cost you £799 for a huge 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage.
