Well, now he’s adding a major Hollywood blockbuster to his CV with a role in Sony’s Venom 2. It’s unknown what the role will be at this plot, as per a report by Variety, but hopefully it will be a meaty one.
For the superhero sequel, Woody Harrelson (who briefly appeared in a mid-credits scene in the first movie) will play the main villain Carnage, also known as serial killer Cletus Kasady.
Naomie Harris is joining the cast as Kasady’s girlfriend Shriek, who is a mutant in the comics, but we highly doubt will be in the movie due to all that legal red tape.
Even more exciting than any of the new castings is the fact that Andy Serkis is taking over as director.
He’s directed a pair of movies so far, but they were smaller projects, and we’re very interested to see how the Black Panther, Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings star will direct his first superhero movie.
Venom 2 is expected to reach cinemas in October 2020.
