It seems that Tom Holland’s Spidey senses include foresight, as an old clip has emerged of the actor predicting he would one day play the web slinger years before being cast.
In the old interview with the Spider-Man: Far From Home star from back in 2013, he expressed his dream of being cast as Peter Parker.
“What kind of superhero would I want to play?” he told the press at that year’s Empire Awards. “Maybe Spider-Man in 10 years’ time? The reboot of the reboot, if they made one. Yeah that would be cool.”
Of course, two years later he was cast as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, making his on-screen debut in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War.
Holland returns as the superhero in upcoming Spider-Man movie Far From Home, where he teams up with Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio.
And by working with the Oscar nominee, he also fulfilled another dream as Gyllenhaal is one of his acting idols.

“If you look at any interview I’ve ever done prior to this movie and someone asked me, ‘Who would you work with if you could work with any actor?’ I would’ve said Jake Gyllenhaal,” Holland recently explained.
“And when I found out it was him, I was stoked, but also really nervous. But Jake absolutely was more than I ever could have expected.”
Is he the luckiest guy in the world, or what?
