Thor apparently hasn’t seen the last of one of his enemies from Ragnarok.

Last weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige announced that Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson would reunite with director Taika Waititi for a new another adventure called Love and Thunder.

The sequel will bring back Natalie Portman as the “female Thor”, and it looks like the original Thor might be crossing paths with the Grandmaster once again too.

Ragnarok cast member Jeff Goldblum shared the announcement of Love and Thunder on Twitter, along with the message: “Love & Thunder… 2021 💕⚡ Thanks @TaikaWaititi.”

In Ragnarok, Thor, Loki and The Hulk stole one of the Grandmaster’s ships and left him to face mutiny from his subjects — so the Elder of the Universe has good reason to get even with the God of Thunder.

Goldblum has often hinted at revisiting the character, revealing last year that he did survive the Snap (or Blip) when Thanos wiped out half of all life in the universe.

The actor has also publicly campaigned for a spin-off movie for the Grandmaster, joking: “Grandmaster is more superheroed than all of them put together. You can’t kill me, I’m like a vampire.”

What is confirmed for Love and Thunder is that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie will become the MCU’s first openly LGBTQ+ superhero, as she rules over the kingdom of Asgard on earth.

“As new king, she needs to find her queen,” she hinted. “So that will be the first order of business.”

Thor: Love and Thunder is released on November 5, 2021.
