Millie only made her feature film debut last month (in Godzilla: King of the Monsters), so this would be a massive milestone in her career to date.
Sitting down with Digital Spy recently, Millie was asked about her rumoured MCU connection.
She responded: “I’ve heard that… I’m not a part of that, not at all actually. I’m always open to new things but I can’t attach myself to something I don’t know [laughs].”
Marvel boss Kevin Feige previously weighed in on the rumours but was fairly tight-lipped on the matter, saying only that it would be “fun” to see Millie in the superhero world.
Meanwhile, the actress also opened up about some of her other upcoming projects, like producing and starring in the lead role in The Enola Holmes Mysteries, a new film franchise based Nancy Springer’s novels about the adventures of Sherlock Holmes’s teenage sister.
“I’m definitely excited about the Holmes [project], Enola is incredibly thrilling and charismatic and I’m so excited to start playing her,” Millie added.
“Enola and Eleven, my goodness, they sound too alike. Yeah, really exciting stuff!”

Millie has also been busy waxing lyrical about the upcoming third season of Stranger Things, telling us that the new series is “definitely unexpected”.
“Every thing, every choice, every turn. And every arc is really unexpected,” she explained. “It’s scary. It’s really scary. I was kind of scared, which is hard for me to get scared at things, I love scary things.”
Stranger Things season 3 is released on July 4 on Netflix.
