Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is just over two weeks away from its release, which is when we’ll finally find out how the main saga in the long-running science fiction series ends (for the third time).
The cast are hard at work promoting the movie, having to tease the ending without giving it away and facing the wrath of Disney executives. We don’t know how they do it, we’d be dying to tell someone the truth.
As part of a livestream from the official Star Wars YouTube channel (21:30 in), the cast (Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Kelly Marie Tran, Keri Russell, Anthony Daniels and Naomi Ackie), and director JJ Abrams were asked to describe their reactions to the ending using only facial expressions. Like so:
So we’ve got a few shocked faces, tears from Keri, John looking very impressed, Oscar has either fallen asleep or he’s nodding, while Anthony… what is he doing?
“After 40 years… is that it?” he said.
We’re sure he’s probably joking, but Anthony is well-known for dunking on the movies in retrospect, so who knows? Maybe he is actually disappointed (although Threepio actually gets to do something in this movie, so we think he’d be happy).
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has a release date of Thursday, December 19 in the UK and Friday, December 20 in the US.
