Ryan Reynolds has shared the first trailer for his upcoming Netflix movie 6 Underground.
6 Underground follows six individuals from around the world who are each the best at what they do and have been chosen for their skill, and their desire to delete their pasts to change the future.
The team is brought together by an enigmatic leader (played by Reynolds) whose mission in life is to ensure that his actions will be remembered – even if he and his fellow operatives won’t be.
And the trailer doesn’t disappoint either, delivering a near three-minute long clip that’s jam-packed with action and adventure. Yes, we can expect to see a lot of car chases, explosions, incredible stunts – and some mandatory funny quips too.
“What if I told you, I know what happens when you die – you become a ghost,” Reynolds’ character teases.
“Best part of being dead is the freedom. No policies or politics. We answer to no one.”
Ahead of the official trailer’s release, Reynolds took to his Instagram and Twitter pages to tease the upcoming drop, sharing a picture of Netflix’s old DVD model of operation alongside the message: “Warm up those DVD players because we’re coming to a mailbox near you, December 13th!”
He later followed that up by sharing that “apparently Netflix now has a ‘digital’ arm”, adding: “Anyway, here’s the ‘digital’ trailer for #6underground a.k.a ‘How Michael Bay Stopped Worrying and Learned To Love Explosions More’.”
6 Underground will premiere on December 13, 2019 on Netflix.
