Looking for a new laptop that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to buy and has all the bells and whistles of the very latest devices?
Microsoft just answered your prayers, as it recently announced a boatload of new devices that are affordable, devilishly stylish, and jam-packed full of features.
The tech giants revealed three new laptops, the Surface Pro 7, the Surface Pro X, and the Surface Laptop 3, during a press conference in New York this week – announcing that all the products are now available to pre-order.
If you decide to put your name on the list to be the first to get one of these new laptops, you’ll have to wait until October 22, but that seems like a small sacrifice to get your hands on one of these devices.
One of the best new products we saw at the event is the super-stylish Surface Pro 7.
It’s a 12.3″ touchscreen laptop/tablet that’s a great little device for people on the go who want something a bit bigger than a smartphone, and a little less cumbersome than a laptop.
The Pro 7 is super lightweight and durable, which makes it perfect for taking out on the train or on your next flight. It also has a long-lasting battery life will see you watching all that content (or getting your work done) with more than a day’s worth of juice.
It also has a faster processor whch aims to make all your apps and content run much more smoothly, plus a removable Solid-State Drive, making customisation and upgrades much easier. In short, it’s a laptop for the fast movers of the world.
We were also impressed by the stylish type-cover – its gorgeous, felt overlay makes your new device look and feel sublime.
As mentioned, the Pro 7 is available to pre-order right now, starting at £799 and will be available from October 22.
Need something with a bit more oomph? The Surface Pro X is an ultra-thin dream for designers, doodlers and the drawers of the world.
The 13″ touchscreen display and the Surface Pen make drawing and sketching a breeze, and the updated features allow for so much more control over what you can do with the pen.
Speaking of the new Slim Pen, the Pro X has a snazzy little divot built into the keyboard, allowing you to store your Surface Pen inside your laptop and charge it simultaneously – so it shouldn’t run out of charge and hopefully, you’ll never lose it either.
The Surface Pro X itself will also charge up super-quick – Microsoft says it can gain 80% charge in just under an hour, which is almost as fast as some smartphones.
The Pro X starts at £999. Pre-orders are open now ahead of general sale on October 22.
