Marvel’s Moon Knight and She-Hulk Disney+ shows have both taken a huge step forward after finding their writers.
Jeremy Slater, who created Netflix’s comic book adaptation of The Umbrella Academy, has been chosen to lead the writing team on Moon Knight, while Rick and Morty‘s ‘Pickle Rick’ writer Jessica Gao will take charge of the writing team for She-Hulk.
Slater is no stranger to the superhero genre, having co-written 2015’s not-so-well-received Fantastic Four movie, starring Michael B Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara and Jamie Bell.
Some of his other credits include the horror movie Death Note, the Netflix adaptation of the popular manga, as well as creating The Exorcist TV show.
Gao, meanwhile, is an Emmy-winning writer with credits ranging from Rick and Morty to Silicon Valley.
Both Moon Knight and She-Hulk were first announced at Disney’s D23 Expo by Kevin Feige, who also confirmed a Ms Marvel series.
Ms Marvel is based on Kamala Khan, the first Muslim superhero to headline her own Marvel comic, and the series will eventually lead to the character appearing in MCU movies.
Disney+ launches on November 12 in the US and March 31, 2020 in the UK.
