Note: This article contains spoilers for Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The boss of Marvel Studios has revealed whether or not the multiverse really does exist in the MCU.
The concept was addressed in the recently-released Spider-Man: Far From Home, with Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio revealing himself to be from Earth-833 to Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) Earth-616 – but it all turned out to be one big lie.
But even if Mysterio wasn’t from another Earth, does the multiverse actually exist in the MCU?
Well, according to Kevin Feige it does – and fans should already know that, thanks to another film in the Marvel canon…
Asked whether the ending of Spider-Man: Far From Home means that fans will never see a multiverse in the MCU, Feige told Fandango: “No, it just means [Mysterio] was full of shit.
“I mean, in Doctor Strange, we hear the Ancient One talk about the multiverse, so we’ve already established it as a thing.”
There you have it, folks – definitive proof that the MCU multiverse is definitely a thing.

While on the topic of unfeatured Marvel constructs, Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon Watts has finally addressed the conspicuous absence of Uncle Ben, who has yet to appear in any of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man movies.
“The focus was on showing people things that they had never seen before, not retelling that origin,” Watts explained.
“We never specifically say anything about him. So whether or not he’s around or not. Everything’s on the table, is how I like to say it.”
