Marvel appears to have revealed just how old Steve Rogers was during THAT scene in Avengers: Endgame.

At the end of the blockbuster movie, Captain America decides to go back to the past to live with Peggy Carter, and in the present we meet a much older version of Steve.

Visual effects producer Jen Underdahl has now opened up about the visual ageing process on the character, and seemingly let slip just how old he’s meant to be.

“In the case of Captain America, what would a super-soldier look like if he aged 106 years? What would his skin look like? So we did some development with that,” she explained to Wired.

However, it’s unclear as to whether she means 106 as his actual age, or 106 years older than when he went back in time.

Meanwhile, Endgame‘s directors the Russo brother have revealed what it would take for them to return to the MCU, admitting they could be enticed by the X-Men or Fantastic Four.

“I grew on up [John] Byrne’s X-Men run. Ben Grimm was a favourite character growing up, the Thing. And Fantastic Four is now in the Marvel fold. There’s a lot,” Joe Russo said.

“Silver Surfer is an amazing character. Going really big in cosmic would be a lot of fun. So there’s a lot of things that could attract us.”

Avengers: Endgame is out now on DVD, Blu-ray, 3D, 4K and digital download.
