Fans have been demanding director Zack Snyder’s full cut of Justice League ever since Joss Whedon’s overseen edit of the DC film was released in 2017.
Now, both Gadot and Affleck have helped to stoke the fire even further.
On Sunday (November 17) Gadot took to Instagram and Twitter to share a black and white photo of herself, complete with the caption: “#ReleaseTheSnyderCut.” Affleck soon followed up with a similar tweet of his own.
It comes just a few days after Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg in the movie, also called for Warner Bros to release Snyder’s cut of the film.
Taking to Twitter, Fisher shared a black-and-white image of Cyborg facing off against the film’s villain Steppenwolf, which he captioned with the same hashtag: “#ReleaseTheSnyderCut.”
Before that, Aquaman star Jason Momoa also made the call, sharing a picture of his character skewering Steppenwolf with his trident.
At the same time, Snyder himself also released a previously unseen image of Barry Allen aka The Flash (Ezra Miller) talking to Iris West (Kiersey Clemons), who was cut from the film entirely.
But now that Wonder Woman and Batman are also supporting the campaign, will the powers that be finally give the people what they want?
Wonder Woman 1984 has a release date of June 5, 2020.
