Margot Robbie is reprising her role as Harley Quinn from 2016’s Suicide Squad, which makes sense seeing as she was the only good part of that movie. This time around though, she is the main star.
Ridiculously titled Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), the movie will see her team up with a bunch of femme fatales to save, or possibly ruin, the day.
We’re intrigued to see this one, and luckily the trailer is online for us to watch now! In the words of Harley Quinn herself: “Get ready ladies…”
The trailer sees Harley breaking out on her own after her break-up with the Joker, and she ends up realising that she’s not the only dame “looking for a little emancipation”.
“I’m the one they should be scared of,” she adds at another point in the trailer. “Not you. Not Mr J. Because I’m Harley freaking Quinn.”
Now you might be thinking, ‘Hang a woah there, I’ve already seen a trailer for this when I went to see It Chapter Two!’, and you would be right. Warner Bros previously released a trailer that aired exclusively before It in cinemas, but now the official trailer is online for everyone else, too.
So why should you see this over the million other superhero films in the works? Well, star Mary Elizabeth Winstead thinks that it is “really weird and unlike anything else [she’s] ever seen before in this genre”.
Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) will be released in cinemas on February 7, 2020.
