Halloween Kills is set to bring back another original character in the form of Sheriff Leigh Brackett, joining a number of original stars who are returning for the sequel.
Charles Cyphers is set to return to the role for the upcoming movie, playing the character for the first time since Halloween II in 1981.
The actor has been filming on set (via Halloween Fans) and is listed to appear in the sequel on his IMDb page.
It comes after original star Kyle Richards was confirmed to be coming back as Lindsey Wallace, the girl Laurie (Jamie Lee Curtis) was babysitting in the original.
“We couldn’t be happier, and are so excited that Kyle is coming home to her Halloween roots,” producer Malek Akkad confirmed.
Also returning is original Mike Myers star Nick Castle, though it appears he won’t be reprising the role of the masked killer.
Referring to new Myers actor James Jude Courtney, he said: “I’ll be returning but, you know Big Game James still got the torch! More later.”
Curtis will be back as Laurie Strode as well, as she once again faces off against the terrifying killer.
Halloween Kills will be released on October 16, 2020, and will be followed a year later on October 15, 2021 by Halloween Ends.
