The world’s biggest gaming conference is well under way, and Cologne, Germany is swamped with gamers, journalists and developers all clamouring to get a look at the latest and greatest titles for all consoles.
With E3 giving us a sneak peek at next year’s console war back in July, Gamescom puts the controller in our hands and lets us take a closer look at what we’ll be playing over the next year.
While we won’t be getting anything new at Gamescom – most of the games will have already been announced – that doesn’t mean we can’t glean some info from the conference.
So strap in, fellow gamer, to find out every nugget of info from Gamescom 2019.
Gamescom 2019 schedule: When are the announcements?
Gamescom is already well under way, starting yesterday (August 19) with the Inside Xbox show.
During that panel we got world premiere trailers for Borderlands 3, Gears 5 Horde Mode, Blair Witch, and news about the Xbox Game Pass.
Xbox will also be hosting Open Doors at the Gloria Theatre from August 21 to August 23. Entry to Xbox Open Doors is free and fans will be able to participate in community events, game tournaments, panel sessions and other experiences, so if you’re there – head on down.

We also saw new trailers from Hideo Kojima’s mind-bending Death Stranding, a Little Nightmares 2 reveal and news about a bunch of Nintendo Switch content like The Witcher 3, Hotline Miami and SUPERHOT.
There are so many publishers who are announcing new games or showing off gameplay this year.
