Finn Cole, who plays Michael in the aforementioned BBC crime-drama, has signed up to the Vin Diesel action sequel, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Also on board are Anna Sawai (Ninja Assassin) and Vinnie Bennett (Ghost in the Shell), though just who all three will be playing is under wraps at the moment.
While fans are gearing-up for the sequel, beforehand they’re set to get a spin-off with Dwayne Johnson’s Luke Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw called Hobbs & Shaw.
Because of this commitment, it’s unlikely that Johnson will return for Fast & Furious 9, the actor saying earlier this year: “As of now, we’re not in Fast 9 because they’re getting ready to start shooting. But who knows with Fast 10 down the road, you never know.
“Because, look, at the end of the day, the truth is there’s unfinished business between Hobbs and Dom [Vin Diesel]. It’s unfinished.”
While fans may be excited about more Fast & Furious, one person who clearly isn’t is Marvel star Dave Bautista, who recently slammed the franchise.
Fast & Furious 9 is set to be released in cinemas on April 20, 2020.
