Cruella star Emma Stone is ready to embrace her dark side to become one of the most feared Disney villains ever.

The Academy Award nominee is currently busy filming a prequel to One Hundred and One Dalmatians, where she brings the story of the young Cruella de Vil in a previously-unseen chapter of her life.

While on the promotional circuit for Zombieland: Double Tap, Emma managed to drop a few hints about what Disney fans can expect for the upcoming Cruella as well.

“It’s pretty trippy. It’s wild,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

The film depicts the young Cruella as having a love of dog print fashion, but that interest eventually turns into an unhealthy obsession with Dalmatians.

Emma will be following in the footsteps of previous One Hundred and One Dalmatians star Glenn Close, with Cruella set to fill in some blanks for the character.

“I think [Glenn is] obviously the GOAT,” Stone said. “But I also have just loved the cartoon for a really long time.

“This comes before [Close’s] story. This leads to her to where she becomes true greatness.”

Last month, Emma was snapped filming on the set of Cruella sporting her trademark ginger hair — which means the movie will also explain how the villain switched to her iconic black-and-white hairdo as well.

Cruella lands in cinemas on May 28, 2021.
