Chris Pratt has teased the future of his MCU character Peter Quill aka Star-Lord, and if we’ll see him before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3.

As fans know, Peter Quill was brought back to life along with half the population of the universe in Avengers: Endgame, and the film ended with him, the rest of the Guardians and Thor setting off on a new adventure.

It’s safe to assume that whatever Quill ends up doing next, establishing a connection with the alternate timeline Gamora (Zoe Saldana) will undoubtedly be a priority, given he’s still mourning the loss of her in his own timeline. (Yeah, bit confusing.)

But Chris may now have fuelled speculation that we’ll be seeing Star-Lord even sooner than expected.

In a recent interview with MTV at Disney’s D23 Expo, the actor remained coy after being asked if we’ll see the character before Guardians 3.

“I know the answer to that. I know the answer to that. But I can’t tell you!” he said with a knowing grin on his face.

Check out the full interview below, as Chris also talks about Jurassic World 3 and his new Pixar animation Onward, in which he stars alongside Spider-Man‘s Tom Holland.

Before James Gunn was fired as director of Guardians 3 for an offensive old tweet that resurfaced, we expected the film to be one of the earlier Phase 4 movies in 2020.

But even with Disney reversing its decision and rehiring him, we’re still expecting a long wait for it, primarily because he’s now signed on to direct DC’s Suicide Squad reboot first.

So it’s because of the delay to Guardians 3 that we may now be seeing Star-Lord sooner than expected in another MCU title.

We expect Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 to arrive in cinemas in 2022.
