It may not be out until next year, but Bond 25 has been whetting the appetites of 007 fans everywhere with set photos and televised press conferences over the last couple of months, making up for the series of delays the film has already faced.
And now, Eon has shared an exciting behind-the-scenes video to give fans a glimpse at how the film’s being made.
While the sneak peek mainly consists of dancing, smiling and Fukunaga sitting behind a monitor in moderately lairy shirts, there is a huge explosion as the camera fades to black… So those hoping for lots of action in Bond 25 aren’t likely to be disappointed.
If the explosion isn’t enough to convince doubters, the fact that Craig sustained an injury while filming last month should indicate pretty strongly that the titular MI6 agent will be getting himself into all sorts of life-threatening situations throughout the upcoming movie.
Bond 25‘s official Twitter account revealed the news of the accident in May, explaining that the 51-year-old actor was to undergo minor surgery and return to production following a two-week rehabilitation period.
One month earlier, it was revealed that Craig had requested that producers bring in Fleabag scribe Phoebe Waller-Bridge to inject her “wit and quirkiness” into the screenplay.
If the unusual – but oh-so-welcome – song choice for the behind-the-scenes video is anything to go by, we may well be getting a very different kind of Bond movie this time round.
Bond 25 also features returning players Léa Seydoux, Rory Kinnear, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris and Ralph Fiennes, as well as newbies Billy Magnussen and Rami Malek.
The 25th James Bond film will be released in the UK on April 3, 2020 and in the US on April 8, 2020.
