Avengers: Endgame‘s Yvette Nicole Brown wasn’t sure which MCU blockbuster her character would turn up in.
That’s because according to the actress herself, the back-to-back shoots for Infinity War and Endgame overlapped to quite some extent. So when her unnamed government worker didn’t show up in last year’s movie, Yvette brushed it under the carpet and moved on.
Sitting down to watch Endgame though, she realised what was coming when the 1970s time heist began to unfold in front of her eyes. Here, her character shared an elevator with an undercover Iron Man and Captain America.
Speaking to CNN, the Community actress recalled: “I’m sitting there with a group of [friends] in my seat like, ‘This is going to be it. Oh my God, it’s an elevator! It’s me!’ I’m just sitting there, biting the inside of my jaw.
“I was so freaking excited, I can’t even tell you. So frigging excited! My friends were, too.”
Yvette added that she’d kept her cameo “secret for two years”, explaining: “That NDA (non-disclosure agreement) was iron-clad. I really needed my left foot, so I never told anybody.”

In amongst her happiness though, the star did reveal one regret from the whole MCU experience.
“I didn’t even come to the premiere,” she said. “I didn’t know I was in it! I could’ve come!”
